Money Mark Special
On this destination of the Brushfire Records songlines, we meet an artist whose songs reflect the depth of his musical background. His name is Money Mark, a keyboardist and vocalist who has played who has performed and recorded with musicians ranging from Yoko Ono, Jack Johnson, George Clinton, Jakob Dylan and the Wallflowers, and others. Money Mark's work is an example of his diversity. Although born in Detroit, Money Mark was born to a Japanese-Hawaiian father and a Chicano mother. Funk, jazz, hip-hop, folk, Afro-Cuban and Latin music can all be found in his one of a kind style. Money Mark joined us for an interview to talk about his latest album "Brand New by Tomorrow," before joining the Beastie Boys on stage.
