Nadirah Shakoor live part 2 on Time After Island Time!

Nadirah Shakoor Live, part 2 of 2 on Time After Island Time
Produced by Paul Leslie and Jeff Pike

With 13 years of singing as a featured vocalist with Jimmy Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band, Nadirah Shakoor’s smile comes from the satisfaction of a career singing with some of the true legends in music. Nadirah Shakoor has worked with the greats from Ralph MacDonald, Al Jareau, Quincy Jones, and the group Arrested Development. As a Coral Reefer, Nadirah Shakoor sometimes performs duets with Jimmy Buffett and more and more has been sharing the spotlight with her soulful, unforgettable voice. Her light shines brightly with her new solo album, “Nod to the Storyteller” now available on Mailboat Records. On this album, Nadirah Shakoor pays tribute to some of the great storytellers in music (Jimmy Buffett, Mac McAnally) by covering their songs as well as including a few of her own songs.

Coming back for part 2 of Nadirah Shakoor Live!, Nadirah joins us for more on “Nod to the Storyteller“, including discussion on the songs she composed and insight into her fellow Coral Reefers who appeared on the album. After returning from Paris, France with Jimmy Buffett she shares her perspectives on the many sides of Jimmy Buffett, who is on his way to becoming an International star. In addition to a great interview, Nadirah Shakoor will also sing some live songs for the listening audience. Don’t miss the special and be sure to catch Nadirah Shakoor’s record release party at the Margaritaville in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, October 24th complete with special guests!
