Cynthia Sayer is a special guest on Time After Island Time

Cynthia Sayer performing with Woody Allen

A series welcoming musicians from the Woody Allen & Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band
Produced by Paul Leslie and Jeff Pike

On this episode we meet Internationally renowned jazz banjoist and vocalist Cynthia Sayer. The New York Times had this to say about our special guest--"Miss Sayer finds lively banjo harmonies and provocative phrasing ... a rare jazz banjoist." She joins us to talk about her latest album "Attractions" and also the many musical legends she has performed and recorded with. A woman of many talents, Sayer composes songs, sings, and in addition to the banjo, she performed on the piano as a 10-year veteran of the Eddy Davis & Woody Allen New Orleans Jazz Band. Cynthia Sayer is a woman who is changing the way the banjo is perceived and appreciated by the public--both in terms of who plays the instrument, but also with respect to the many styles which can be performed on the banjo.

Enjoy the show and be sure and catch Cynthia Sayer as she sits in with the Woody Allen New Orleans Jazz Band in the month of December!
